The Pangborn
Memorial Campanile "This monument is dedicated to the glory of God and his blessed Mother "It is erected on the site of the 'Old Church on the Hill' which was built in 1809 by Father John DuBois, founder of Mount Saint Mary's College and Seminary. Here, on Saint Mary's Mount, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton worshipped and it was here htat her sister-in-law, Harriet Seton, was converted to the Catholic Faith. "Here the image of our blessed Mother shines forth as a beacon of light, hope, courage, and inspiration for those who pass this sacred spot. The bells in this tower ring out forever the praises of Almighty God and His blessed Mother. "Erected
in humble and sincere gratitude for our many blessings."
